第二十四章 2 Kings 24
1.約雅敬年間，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒上到猶大；約雅敬服事他三年，然後背叛他。
During Jehoiakim’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he turned against Nebuchadnezzar and rebelled.
2.耶和華使迦勒底軍、亞蘭軍、摩押軍，和亞捫人的軍來攻擊約雅敬，毀滅猶大，正如耶和華藉他僕人眾先知所說的。
The LORD sent Babylonian,[a] Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by his servants the prophets.

3.這禍臨到猶大人誠然是耶和華所命的，要將他們從自己面前趕出，是因瑪拿西所犯的一切罪；
Surely these things happened to Judah according to the LORD’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,
4.又因他流無辜人的血，充滿了耶路撒冷；耶和華決不肯赦免。
including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the LORD was not willing to forgive.
5.約雅敬其餘的事，凡他所行的都寫在猶大列王記上。
As for the other events of Jehoiakim’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
6.約雅敬與他列祖同睡。他兒子約雅斤接續他作王。
Jehoiakim rested with his ancestors. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.
7.埃及王不再從他國中出來；因為巴比倫王將埃及王所管之地，從埃及小河直到伯拉河都奪去了。
The king of Egypt did not march out from his own country again, because the king of Babylon had taken all his territory, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River.
Jehoiachin King of Judah
8.約雅斤登基的時候年十八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月。他母親名叫尼護施他，是耶路撒冷人以利拿單的女兒。
Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.
9.約雅斤行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他父親一切所行的。
He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father had done.
巴比倫王圍攻耶路撒冷
10.那時，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的軍兵上到耶路撒冷，圍困城。
At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,
11.當他軍兵圍困城的時候，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒就親自來了。
and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.
12.猶大王約雅斤和他母親、臣僕、首領、太監一同出城，投降巴比倫王；巴比倫王便拿住他。那時是巴比倫王第八年。
Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.
約雅斤與臣民被擄至巴比倫
13.巴比倫王將耶和華殿和王宮裏的寶物都拿去了，將以色列王所羅門所造耶和華殿裏的金器都毀壞了，正如耶和華所說的；
As the LORD had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the LORD.
14.又將耶路撒冷的眾民和眾首領，並所有大能的勇士，共一萬人，連一切木匠、鐵匠都擄了去；除了國中極貧窮的人以外，沒有剩下的；
He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans—a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.
15.並將約雅斤和王母、后妃、太監，與國中的大官，都從耶路撒冷擄到巴比倫去了；
Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land.
16.又將一切勇士七千人和木匠、鐵匠一千人，都是能上陣的勇士，全擄到巴比倫去了。
The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand skilled workers and artisans.
巴比倫王立西底家作王
17.巴比倫王立約雅斤的叔叔瑪探雅代替他作王，給瑪探雅改名叫西底家。
He made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Zedekiah King of Judah
18.西底家登基的時候年二十一歲，在耶路撒冷作王十一年。他母親名叫哈慕他，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。
Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
19.西底家行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，是照約雅敬一切所行的。
He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as Jehoiakim had done.
20.因此耶和華的怒氣在耶路撒冷和猶大發作，以致將人民從自己面前趕出。
It was because of the LORD’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence.
