The well-known Maj., Richard D. WInters, passed away on Jan. 2nd, 2011.
As that news released from the series web site of Bond of Brother,
he had set a model of an excelent combat leader.
How excelent about his leadership?
Like the veteran, William wild bill Guarnere, said
"I would follow him to hell and back."
And he had made so many contributions to WWII, and saved many lifes in battles,
even got Distinguished Service Cross medal after the famous D-Day operation.
Finally, I think he already found a place in peace to spend his life.
