昨日與 advisor 談話提及北京之行對我們 group 形成的莫大壓力。見多識廣的恩師安慰我：「funding comes from power, capability impresses power ！」〈經費來自於勢力，而實力能令勢力印象深刻〉 他建議我們應在 quality 上下工夫，不要學競爭對手在 cost cutting 上打轉，再以對方熟悉的語言 (techinically and ethnically) 表達我們的approach， then you are in good shape ! 我告訴恩師，他這番話令我很為難。恩師幽默地回答：難道你中文講得比英文差嗎 ? ~o)
