M: Hi, May, how about going to the football game with me today?
W: I d like to watch it on television instead.
M: Why do you prefer that? Do you feel poor at the end of the month?
W: It has nothing to do with money. I find it easier to follow the game on television. When I go to the game I feel as if I m too far away from the players. And I always lose track of the ball.
M: I can understand you. But there s always so much excitement in a ball game. People are cheering and shouting next to you. Everybody can catch the enthusiasm.
W: You re right there. But I d like to know exactly what I m yelling for. And if I can t even see who has the ball, I can t get very excited. So I really prefer watching it on TV.
