Goint On Holiday

Harry is a young American. He is going on holiday next week to Cooktown. He s talking on the telephone to his mother.

MOM: Hi, Harry. How are you?

HARRY: I m fine, Mom.

MOM: When are you off?

HARRY: Next Tuesday.

MOM: What time are you leaving?

HARRY: First thing in the morning. My train s at eight.

MOM: And what time do you get to Cooktown?

HARRY: Three in the afternoon.

MOM: What date are you coming back?

HARRY: On the nineteenth.

MOM: Well, have a nice time!

HARRY: Thanks, Mom.

Mom: Are you taking your bicycle?

HARRY: Sure. I can take it on the train with me. I ll need it when I get there.

MOM: Don t forget to take your medicine.

HARRY: No, Mom.

MOM: You ll need a warm coat; it gets really cold at night.

HARRY: OK. I ll take one with me.

MOM: What about your radio? Are you taking that too?

HARRY: Yes, I always take it when I go away.

MOM: Say "Hi" to Charlie from me, will you?

HARRY: OK.

MOM: Enjoy yourself! Bye.

HARRY: Bye, Mom.
