Faith and unfaith can ne'er be equal powers:

It is little rift  within  the lute  ,

That by and by  will make the music mute,

And ever widening slowly silwnce all.





The little within the love's lute, 

Or little pitted speck in garner'd fruit ,

That rotting inward slowly  mouders all.




It is not  worth the keeping , let go ;

But shall it ?answer,darling,answer,no.

And trust me not at all or allin all.

只要背信一次就會永遠失去信義。




那詩琴上的小小裂縫，

日久了會使琴聲減輕，

當裂縫慢慢擴大，最後將毫無聲響。





愛人詩琴上的小小裂縫，

或者儲存水果上的小小疤痕，

會慢慢腐蝕，並將腐蝕一切。



不值得保留了，就把它丟棄；

但是會丟掉嗎？說吧，親愛的，說不會。

完全信任我，要不就完全不要相信我。
