Since I started hiking, i met a lot of guys, way more than gals
hiking is mainly a male dominating activity, the harder the hike the less the women around
since i am kind of adrenaline junkie, i like the hard hikes even though i always dread them.
so i have met a lot of guys, from 16 to 76, a few married ones and lot of single guys
To my sisters in search for a mate, male extreme hikers are in great shape but they are often parculier.
if they prefer the company of nature and solitude than boating and bowling, they are wired differently
if they are casual "hikers", ie, a stroll in the park for an hour or two in leisure pace, they are much more run of the mill male than those extreme hikers/bikers
(rock climbers are in a different category. they have to social because they need a trusted buddy to climb or canyoneer)
it is not a put down but simply stating the fact.
out of these extreme male hikers that i've met, a few are the alpha male type.
they are opinionated and want to take the lead
they are often more vocal and demonstrative
they almost always prefer being the center of attention or in the spot light
nothing wrong with this trait in a man
many women swoon over alpha male because of the need to be dominated
sadly not yours truly
i dislike alpha male
if i had to deal with one, my eyeballs would roll so far back into my head that i'd look as if i was about to faint.
when it comes to male attraction for me, i can't stomach guys who are alpha male.
if a man is quiet and reserved, my interest goes way up and i'd want to discover what's been guarded.
call it a feline curiosity but women fall for the silent and secretive, not the "look at me i am a star" type.
maybe that's why i have no interest in going to see a chippendale show.
