The Imperativeness of Reducing the Use of Plastics
Recently, there were deluges in the southern part of Taiwan, causing floods in myriads of areas. Many people start to complain about the incompetence of the government because the draining system is useless. However, the government is not the only one that should be blamed, but the result is also caused by the people themselves. Since plastics are quite cheap and offer us a lot of convenience, quite a lot of people make use of them without abstinence, which accelerates the speed of climate change. Although the government has started to implement some plastics-limited policies, many people still do not know why we should reduce the use of plastics. The fault of the government is that it does not notify the people of this important information, so many people are still ignorant of the harms of plastics. At the present, the devastating power of climate change has started to come to effect. The floods of this time would not be the last one, and in the future there might be floods more and more frequently. I think the best way to alleviate the impact of climate change is to reduce the use of plastics. Therefore, we should try to grab a good chance to let people around us beware of the fact why we should reduce the use of plastics. Not only is our doing it to save Polar bears and sea animals, but it is also to preclude us from suffering of deluges and floods.
