12.耶和華對摩西說：「你向埃及地伸杖，使蝗蟲到埃及地上來，吃地上一切的菜蔬，就是冰雹所剩的。」
And the LORD said to Moses, 「Stretch out your hand over Egypt so that locusts swarm over the land and devour everything growing in the fields, everything left by the hail.」
13.摩西就向埃及地伸杖，那一晝一夜，耶和華使東風颳在埃及地上；到了早晨，東風把蝗蟲颳了來。
So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the LORD made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;
14.蝗蟲上來，落在埃及的四境，甚是厲害；以前沒有這樣的，以後也必沒有。
they invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts, nor will there ever be again.
15.因為這蝗蟲遮滿地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬，和冰雹所剩樹上的果子。埃及遍地，無論是樹木，是田間的菜蔬，連一點青的，也沒有留下。
They covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured all that was left after the hail－everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees. Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt.
16.於是法老急忙召了摩西、亞倫來，說：「我得罪耶和華你們的 神，又得罪了你們。
Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 「I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.
17.現在求你，只這一次，饒恕我的罪，求耶和華你們的 神使我脫離這一次的死亡。」
Now forgive my sin once more and pray the LORD your God to take this deadly plague away from me.」
18.摩西就離開法老去求耶和華。
Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD.
19.耶和華轉了極大的西風，把蝗蟲颳起，吹入紅海；在埃及的四境連一個也沒有留下。
And the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea.[b] Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt.
