Before I left for the United States, my father had warned me,"Every foreigner has problems in a new country." But I told myself,"Ali you will be different. You will not have problems in the United States. By the time you arrive, you will have learned enough English to understand everyone!" So I made my preparations, and on January second I flew to Boston.
Or course, I have had many problems since I arrived in the Us. Some of the funniest ones occurred during the first few days after I arrived. English was not as easy I had thought. But I had made a friend, and I was having a good time.
During those first few days, the most comical experience was our first night out in a Boston restaurant. My friend--who spoke no English--and I who thought that I knew a lot--went out to eat. That night before we left, we promised each other that we would practice a lot of English. We would listen and speak carefully so that we would learn a lot.
After we arrived at the restaurant, we sat down, and the waiter gave us menus. While I was trying to read mine, my friend was staring blankly at his. He understood nothing! The waiter came back, and we ordered. My friend, who was still staring blankly, pointed at the first three items on the menus. The waiter seemed surpised and asked."Is your friend sure?" I answered,"My friend is sure and I will have the same thing." The waiter said,"Okay...If you want that, you will get that. Foreigner..."
Imagine our surprise when the waiter came back with six dishes:two bowls of tomato soup,two bowls of cream of mushroom soup, and two bowls of clam chowder.

1.What experiences have you had in your struggle to learn English?
When I was lost the way to back my home. I showed some one my address and asked her how to go home.
2.What have you learned from your experience?
I learned how to use basic sentences to ask anybody help me.
我就以自己曾經載學生去上學
卻找不到回家的路只好開到教堂
找到好心的美國人用最簡單的英文
請她幫我找到回家的路
這是十幾年前的往事
但永遠也忘不了當時的驚恐
這個答案我試著寫出一定會有錯誤
但不要緊明天請老師改正之後
再回來訂正
