勿拜別神
10.耶和華說：「我要立約，要在百姓面前行奇妙的事，是在遍地萬國中所未曾行的。在你四圍的外邦人就要看見耶和華的作為，因我向你所行的是可畏懼的事。
Then the LORD said: 「I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you.
11.我今天所吩咐你的，你要謹守。我要從你面前攆出亞摩利人、迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。
Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites.
12.你要謹慎，不可與你所去那地的居民立約，恐怕成為你們中間的網羅；
Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.
13.卻要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶。
Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.[a]

14.不可敬拜別神；因為耶和華是忌邪的 神，名為忌邪者。
Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
15.只怕你與那地的居民立約，百姓隨從他們的神，就行邪淫，祭祀他們的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，
「Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.
16.又為你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，他們的女兒隨從他們的神，就行邪淫，使你的兒子也隨從他們的神行邪淫。
And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for you sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
17.不可為自己鑄造神像。
「Do not make any idols.
18.你要守除酵節，照我所吩咐你的，在亞筆月內所定的日期吃無酵餅七天，因為你是這亞筆月內出了埃及。
「Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.
19.凡頭生的都是我的；一切牲畜頭生的，無論是牛是羊，公的都是我的。
「The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock.
20.頭生的驢要用羊羔代贖，若不代贖就要打折牠的頸項。凡頭生的兒子都要贖出來。誰也不可空手朝見我。
Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons. 「No one is to appear before me empty－handed.
21.你六日要做工，第七日要安息，雖在耕種收割的時候也要安息。
「Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
22.在收割初熟麥子的時候要守七七節；又在年底要守收藏節。
「Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.[b]

23.你們一切男丁要一年三次朝見主耶和華以色列的 神。
Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD, the God of Israel.
24.我要從你面前趕出外邦人，擴張你的境界。你一年三次上去朝見耶和華你 神的時候，必沒有人貪戀你的地土。
I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the LORD your God.
25.你不可將我祭物的血和有酵的餅一同獻上。逾越節的祭物也不可留到早晨。
「Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Festival remain until morning.
26.地裏首先初熟之物要送到耶和華你 神的殿。不可用山羊羔母的奶煮山羊羔。」
「Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. 「Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.」
27.耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要將這些話寫上，因為我是按這話與你和以色列人立約。」
Then the LORD said to Moses, 「Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.」
28.摩西在耶和華那裏四十晝夜，也不吃飯也不喝水。耶和華將這約的話，就是十條誡，寫在兩塊版上。
Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or dinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant－the Ten Commandments. |
