有一首蘇格蘭詩人Robert Burns的情詩叫“A Red Red Rose”
是我大二時最喜歡的一首英文詩,茲書於後,願與朋友雅俗共賞!
O My luve’s like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in July;
O My luve’s like the melodie
That’s sweetly play’d in tune!
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear
Till a’ the seas gang dry;
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;

While the sands o’ life shall ren
And fare thee weel, my only luve,

Tho’ it ware ten thousand mile
PS 這首詩用玫瑰和旋律來比喻愛情的甜美,再用海沽石爛來表示至死不渝的愛情喔!
