Division of the Land
12.「那時，我們得了這地。從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，我將基列山地的一半，並其中的城邑，都給了流便人和迦得人。
Of the land that we took over at that time, I gave the Reubenites and the Gadites the territory north of Aroer by the Arnon Gorge, including half the hill country of Gilead, together with its towns.
13.其餘的基列地和巴珊全地，就是噩王的國，我給了瑪拿西半支派。亞珥歌伯全地乃是巴珊全地；這叫做利乏音人之地。
The rest of Gilead and also all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. （The whole region of Argob in Bashan used to be known as a land of the Rephaites.
14.瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了亞珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和瑪迦人的交界，就按自己的名稱這巴珊地為哈倭特．睚珥，直到今日。
Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maakathites; it was named after him, so that to this day Bashan is called Havvoth Jair.[d]）

And I gave Gilead to Makir.
16.從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷中為界，直到亞捫人交界的雅博河，我給了流便人和迦得人，
But to the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the territory extending from Gilead down to the Arnon Gorge （the middle of the gorge being the border） and out to the Jabbok River, which is the border of the Ammonites.
17.又將亞拉巴和靠近約但河之地，從基尼烈直到亞拉巴海，就是鹽海，並毘斯迦山根東邊之地，都給了他們。
Its western border was the Jordan in the Arabah, from Kinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah （that is, the Dead Sea）, below the slopes of Pisgah.
18.那時，我吩咐你們說：『耶和華你們的 神已將這地賜給你們為業；你們所有的勇士都要帶著兵器，在你們的弟兄以色列人面前過去。
I commanded you at that time: 「The LORD your God has given you this land to take possession of it. But all your able-bodied men, armed for battle, must cross over ahead of the other Israelites.
19.但你們的妻子、孩子、牲畜（我知道你們有許多的牲畜）可以住在我所賜給你們的各城裏。
However, your wives, your children and your livestock （I know you have much livestock） may stay in the towns I have given you,
20.等到你們弟兄在約但河那邊，也得耶和華你們 神所賜給他們的地，又使他們得享平安，與你們一樣，你們才可以回到我所賜給你們為業之地。』
until the LORD gives rest to your fellow Israelites as he has to you, and they too have taken over the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. After that, each of you may go back to the possession I have given you.」

21.那時我吩咐約書亞說：『你親眼看見了耶和華你 神向這二王所行的；耶和華也必向你所要去的各國照樣行。
At that time I commanded Joshua: 「You have seen with your own eyes all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms over there where you are going.
22.你不要怕他們，因那為你爭戰的是耶和華你的 神。』
Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you.」 |
