The One Place of Worship
第十二章 Deuteronomy 12
1.「你們存活於世的日子，在耶和華你們列祖的 神所賜給你們為業的地上，要謹守遵行的律例典章乃是這些：
These are the decrees and laws you must be careful to follow in the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you to possess—as long as you live in the land.
2.你們要將所趕出的國民事奉神的各地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在各青翠樹下，都毀壞了；
Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.
3.也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的木偶，砍下他們雕刻的神像，並將其名從那地方除滅。
Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.
4.你們不可照他們那樣事奉耶和華你們的 神。
You must not worship the LORD your God in their way.
5.但耶和華你們的 神從你們各支派中選擇何處為立他名的居所，你們就當往那裏去求問，
But you are to seek the place the LORD your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go;
6.將你們的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的舉祭，並還願祭、甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中頭生的，都奉到那裏。
there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
7.在那裏，耶和華你們 神的面前，你們和你們的家屬都可以吃，並且因你手所辦的一切事蒙耶和華你的 神賜福，就都歡樂。
There, in the presence of the LORD your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the LORD your God has blessed you.
8.我們今日在這裏所行的是各人行自己眼中看為正的事，你們將來不可這樣行；
You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit,
9.因為你們還沒有到耶和華你 神所賜你的安息地，所給你的產業。
since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the LORD your God is giving you.
10.但你們過了約但河，得以住在耶和華你們 神使你們承受為業之地，又使你們太平，不被四周的一切仇敵擾亂，安然居住。
But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety.
11.那時要將我所吩咐你們的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的舉祭，並向耶和華許願獻的一切素祭，都奉到耶和華你們 神所選擇要立他為名的居所。
Then to the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name—there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the LORD.
12.你們和兒女、僕婢，並在你們城裏無業無分的利未人，都要在耶和華你們的 神面前歡樂。
And there rejoice before the LORD your God—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites from your towns who have no allotment or inheritance of their own.
13.你要謹慎，不可在你所看中的各處獻燔祭。
Be careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings anywhere you please.
14.惟獨耶和華從你那一支派中所選擇的地方，你就要在那裏獻燔祭，行我一切所吩咐你的。
Offer them only at the place the LORD will choose in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you. |
