第二十三章 Deuteronomy 23
1.「凡外腎受傷的，或被閹割的，不可入耶和華的會。
[a]No one who has been emasculated by crushing or cutting may enter the assembly of the LORD.

2.私生子不可入耶和華的會；他的子孫，直到十代，也不可入耶和華的會。
No one born of a forbidden marriage[b] nor any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, not even in the tenth generation.

3.亞捫人或是摩押人不可入耶和華的會；他們的子孫雖過十代，也永不可入耶和華的會。
No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, not even in the tenth generation.
4.因為你們出埃及的時候，他們沒有拿食物和水在路上迎接你們，又因他們雇了米所波大米的毗奪人比珥的兒子巴蘭來咒詛你們。
For they did not come to meet you with bread and water on your way when you came out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim[c] to pronounce a curse on you.

5.然而耶和華你的 神不肯聽從巴蘭，卻使那咒詛的言語變為祝福的話，因為耶和華你的 神愛你。
However, the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you.
6.你一生一世永不可求他們的平安和他們的利益。
Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them as long as you live.
7.不可憎惡以東人，因為他是你的弟兄。不可憎惡埃及人，因為你在他的地上作過寄居的。
Do not despise an Edomite, for the Edomites are related to you. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you resided as foreigners in their country.
8.他們第三代子孫可以入耶和華的會。
The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.
