I have the opportunity to work with another preceptor in ER this semester focusing on conducting physical examination and other related issues. It has been really exciting so far, having witnessed various morbid ailments presented by the incoming patients could not have been more intellectually satisfying. Of course, aside from this enriching experience, being able to adopt a patient-centered mindset under my white coat would carry greater significance for a long time to come....^_^
Number of dimensions always draw value attachment in this comparison-hunger world. But regardless of dual- or multi-dimension, it is the quality that counts. One may boasts how multi-dimensional his/her life may be, but it is no less positive to have an enriching, colorful dual-dimenaional life for another individual. Hey, at least the effort to improve and refine reflects the measure of a man. We all decides our fates to a certain extent, depending on the perseverance and drive that vary among all of us. It would be a shame if one dismisses his/her own potential to achieve greater heights by offering excuses that those 'heftier' goals are undesirable and pointless. It only implies that you have a weak heart and an underachiever. But I think the best word for these people is, well, "coward".
