Another sleepless night, different scene though.
Gave in my seat to an Indian male so he could accompany his wife and new born crying loud baby, in return the flight attendant moved me to 2 emty seats, no one seated beside me although the flight was fully booked, noble spirit was well rewarded, haha.
New flight model provided advanced media entertainment, watched "My Mom's new boyfriend" as my first preference and "Forgetting Sarah Marchall" as second which was quite good. Lied on the seat and could not fall asleep, to avoid this from happening I had gone to surf early in the morning and had kept myelf awake the whole afternoon, somehow it still happned.
"Incredible Hulk" was the third move in a row, played it when having breakfast, and then realized the day could be hard without suffifient sleep. "This is captain speaking............we have sunny sky, temperature is around 16 degrees, ............... thank you for flying with........" Well, the plane was about to land when broadcast started buzzing.
Never thought my first shopping stop would be duty free shop; passing the custom, Mom, my younger sister and her loving husband were ready to pick me up in the hall. ..............Yeah, it was the smell, the mixture smell of bakery and coffee fragrance filled up the chilli air that reminded me my living abroad long time ago, it was 16 degrees and I wore short sleeves, but I didn't feel cold as usual, everything was so familiar, I was back.
Traffic jam in the morning in Sydney as it is in Taipei, not able to get home directly, Kim redireted the rout to city center so we could have breakfast in China town and did some shoppings. Surprisingly everything was so expensive, parking fee NTD160 per hour really impressed me a lot, well, Melbourne was a lot more economic in term of this and I thought I would not complain the parking charge was so high in Taipei for a short moment.
Took a long walk along the riverside to get to downtown and ramdomly chose an Italian restaurant for dinner. I guessed I hit the jackpot for choosing it, the food there was great. Expesive food when I read the menu at the first place, but the courses were served in good size later on that explained a lot, the waitress was so passionate to be counted as contribution to our pleasant dinner experience, it was worthwhile to have dinner here.

Smoked salmon salad, sour source with bitter rocket, perfect combination
Pizza, forgot the name, my favorite flavour though, a must eat, I could still taste the post flavour left in my mouth
Creamy pasta, also forgot the name, semi-dry tomato was good
An overlook of 3 courses
Great food, great service, great family gathering, perfect ending
Dinner cost Kim NTD 2500, haha, earned myself a free meal, got to thank him. |
