Jy came. It was always " Hi and goodbye." My mom likes him becasue he is very good at investing and I m all thumbs when it comes to money. Yet he might be way too thrifty for me. But he is a person I can trust. He helped me do the tax in the U.S. Hard to find a job in IT both in the U.S. and Taiwan with the salary he is asking. He is looking for a job in Taipei right now. However, his asking monthly salary is NT$200,000. It s a long shot. He might get it if he plays his cards right. His head hunter advises him repeatly not to say how much he wants if they ask. Well, not sure when I will see him again. Maybe next year?
Two former co-workers wanted to take me a nice restaurant, but it was closed. I picked a cheap hot pot restaurant for us to go. I do not like to hang out with former co-workers much. We put up a mask pretending that everything is just fine with us. I did not tell them that I am divorced, but sure they already knew.
Ron and I broke up this time last year. Now Mr. Ron does not seem so wrong. Time can change the memories and now I started to really appreciate how generous he was to me. Only wish if we could have got along. What was that song again, " Dianmond and rust."? All couples had good times and bad times. Remember the diamonds when he is gone. Remember the rust when he is still around.
Might or might not go back to Chicago this summer. Still pondering.
