I purchased a 2006 GTI (oh yes -- hot sexy red color) from Volkswagen. The fast GTI goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds and gets 32 mpg on the highway. The quick & smooth 6-speed automatic-manual Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) is the transmission of the future. And, to protect the environment, the GTI qualifies as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV).
Too bad the Infiniti FX35 has to stay in the garage for a long time.
